Russell Chase died on Okinawa from respiratory failure do to an infection in his lungs. Russ was a wonderful roll model for his students and a dedicated hard working Uechi practitioner. He will certainly be missed.

George Krob, an Air Force Sergeant was assigned to the Air Base at Kadena, Okinawa in 1960 and became a student of Uehara Saburo.
