Information:

Eastern Arts has leased the latest version of the Optecs Conference Center programs, enabling groups up to 25 people to

• Meet for scheduled committee or special sessions.
• View training or dan test films.
• Conduct "distant" testing and belt certification, run by an official IUKF sanctioned Board.
• Review and certification of teaching degrees.
• Conduct seminars for teachers-in-training, run by IUKF Shihan.
• The "Learning Center's" schedule of activities are posted in the Calendar. (found in the left frame of the Uechi-ryu.com home page.

How to participate in these sessions:

• After clicking the above link, a small file will be loaded into your computer. (You will also be able to create a desktop icon, making future use very easy.)
• This room holds up to 25 people who are able to communicate with both text and telephone quality voice.
• In addition, you will be able to view video clips, share URLs and PowerPoint presentations. Very interesting program!
• All sessions will be supervised by a "Moderator".
• When you first log on, go to the Audio Config link and do a sound check.
• Then go to the Options link and log in with your real name. (When you first check in, you are assigned a number)

The username is: guest
The password is: karate

If you have any difficulties loading the files needed to run this program, click here for help.

 You already know what the rules are. . . basic good manners, no foul language and use of your real name. 

Some basic user information once you receive your password and username: 

• 1. You can use your mouse or the Ctrl key to speak. (click on the options menu to select Ctrl)

• 2. Only one person at a time should talk. (The person whose name is highlighted) You are able to use "text messages" to the group or to selected individuals.

• 3. Speak in a normal tone of voice. 

• 4. If attending a scheduled session, please stick with the subject. 

• 5. Any other time, you may use the site to talk with friends or family from around the world.
