Description and Meaning

The center, in yellow gold, is the traditional Uechi symbol for the tiger, Crane and Dragon. The outer top, in white gold, depicts the circular "Wa-uke" (block). The eight circular designs represent the eight Kata of Uechi-ryu. Each circular design has eight steps representing eight dan levels. A .04pt diamond is added for each Dan rank achieved. A total of eight completes the circle. On attaining a ninth Dan, an .08pt diamond is set in the center of the ring. A tenth Dan will be practicing Sanchin in the Great Dojo in the sky!
