Membership Corner

David Berndt is highly qualified to serve as Membership Director of IUKF. Like the other four Directors, David spends many hours each week working on IUKF membership issues. His primary job is building a paid membership that will enable IUKF to become a viable and active organization, serving the Uechi students and teachers who make up the international membership.
David is the owner of a very successful jewelry store in downtown Mount Dora. He has been an active teacher and student of Uechi-ryu and other martial arts for over 30 years. David is also a partner in one of the largest car shows in America . The Festivals of Speed is a showcase for the most valuable and beautiful cars, yachts and boats in the world. He is also the past president of the Florida Rolls Royce Club. He also owns the Central Florida Martial Art Academy where he assists me in teaching classes.
When he is not working or working out, David spends much time and money of charitable activities in his community.
David is a no-nonsense business person who brings to IUKF a wealth of experience and dedication. Although his time is stretched thin with all the activities he is involved in, he has promised to contribute his (and the Board's) mission statement for where IUKF is today and where it is headed. I know he will appreciate any support you can give him in this difficult job. Dave is always eager to communicate with students and teachers who have questions or suggestions. The International Uechi-ryu Karate Federation is a world-wide fraternity of Uechi schools, teachers and students. Members receive discounts for Summer and Winter Fests, many products, seminars, tours and other activities. IUKF is not an "exclusive" organization. We welcome participation from other Uechi groups. Although IUKF offers Dan testing services for its members, we accept rank certificates issued by all legitimate Uechi testing groups. We welcome your dojo or individual questions regarding the benefits of membership. Communications is the most important tool in running a smooth operating organization. Reports and updates of the Board are listed below.
