Referrees and Judges Needed for Mass Challenge

The Mass Challenge Tournament, #3 in the NEJUKCS Series, is approaching fast.

This is a very important event. Point winners from the the first two events, who are in the running for the championship, will need our best qualified officials to referee and judge them.

I will try to contact as many of our certified officials by telephone as possible. It is not easy due to work schedules and teaching schedules of me and all involved. I do not have every phone number either. I will send letters to those whom I can't reach by phone. There are some officials who have not supplied addresses as well. I hope some of them will read this and conatct me if they would like to be officials for this event.

This Sunday at 9:00 AM the IUKF is conducting a free (no charges) referee seminar at:

B.U.K.A
Cardinale Plaza
Rt 27
Brockton, MA

Take Route 24 to exit 18B (RT 27)
go through set of lights bearing right. Take a right into the Cardinale Plaza after passing the lights at the hospital. We are located behind the car wash to your left.

All Black Belts in Uechi-ryu and Shohei-ryu are welcome to attend to get training for certification as an IUKF Tournament Official Specialist. Brown Belts are welcome also for training to become a tournament judge.

The requirements for certification are:
Attend 2 seminars
Work 2 Tournaments per year
Pass a 59 question Test

All IUKF Certified Officials are required to attend at least one refresher training seminar per year and work 2 tournaments per year to retain their Specialist Certificate.

We hope to see all of the referees and any who woul dlike to become referees at the seminar this Sunday.
